Steam the broccoli.
Sauté the garlic, onion and red pepper flakes in the olive oil.
Add the broccoli in the pot and cook.
Transfer the cook broccoli mixture into the blender and blend.
Cook the pasta al dente. Combine the pureed broccoli and pasta with pasta water.
Stir the mixture and add the parmesan cheese.
Mash the broccoli to leave small chunks for a satisfying bite and rustic texture.
