Soft Italian One Bowl Chocolate Cake

This Italian Chocolate Cake is not too sweet, but definitely decadent with a deep chocolate flavor. Enjoy it for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.


Cacao powder Flour Eggs Sugar Butter Yogurt Bittersweet or unsweetened chocolate Baking Powder Salt Powdered Sugar for dusting


Prepare the baking pan and whip the sugar and eggs until creamy and fluffy.

Step 1

Using a fork or spatula, stir in the yogurt, butter, melted chocolate and vanilla extract.

Step 2

Mix and combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

Step 3

Add the combined dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir until combined

Step 4

Place the batter evenly into the pan and bake for  45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 5

Let the baked cake cool. Then dust it with confectioner sugar.
