Ingredients

Cream the egg yolks and sugar with an electric mixer. Add the cornstarch and mix again.

Step 1

Heat the milk and stir in the lemon zest and vanilla. Once done, remove from heat and slowly add the egg yolk mixture.

Step 2

Place the saucepan back on low heat and continue whisking. Then, let it simmer and monitor the bubbles.

Step 3

Continue to cook until cream is thickened then remove from heat and let it cool while covered in plastic wrap. Then, Refrigerate.
