Easy Italian Sausage Meatballs

This easy Italian Sausage Meatballs recipe is a family favorite. It's so hearty and comforting!

Peel the skin and crumble the sausages in a bowl. In a separate bowl, soak the bread in the milk.

Step 1

Combine the bread mixture, cheese, egg, salt, pepper, garlic, and parsley. Then mix it well with the crumbled sausage. 

Step 2

Scoop the meatball mixture using a cookie scoop and place it on your greased hands. Roll them.

Step 3

Cover the meatballs with plastic wrap and set aside. Then, heat the olive oil in a large skillet.

Step 4

Add and cook the onion followed by the crushed tomatoes. Stir to combine. Then, gently add the meatballs.

Step 5

Cook and turn over the meatballs to coat them in the sauce. Reduce heat and simmer . Cover with lid slightly ajar.

Step 6

Monitor and cook the meatballs with the sauce. Then, add the fresh basil.  Serve with crusty bread or pasta.
