A quick and easy side dish, sautéed frozen green beans are the perfect compliment to any meal. The addition of garlic, onions, and pinenuts to this recipe gives it a classic Italian flavor that's sure to please!

pine nuts

frozen green beans

yellow onion


salt & pepper

Cook the green beans in a pot of boiling water with salt.

Step 1

Drain the pot with cooked green beans and transfer them into a bowl with ice-cold water.

Step 2

Cook the onion, pinenuts, and garlic in a heated skillet until softened. Then season with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Add the cook beans and sauté until softened to your taste.

Sautéed Green Beans Variations:

You can skip the blanching process

You can add crunchy bacon

Instead of pinenuts use hazelnuts
