Saute the onion over heated olive oil.
Add the ground pork and sausage to the skillet and cook until browned.
Pour the tomato puree and season. Simmer and stir occasionally.
Add the basil and cook the pasta. Drain the pasta and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
Combine the cooked rigatoni, pasta water, and the meat sauce. Stir to combine.
Add 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/2 parmesan cheese and stir.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and top with the remaining cheese. Bake until golden brown.
Cook the pasta until al dente!
