Italian Tomato-Herb Focaccia

The freshest, sweetest heirloom tomatoes meet olive oil, herb focaccia, and homemade tomato jam to create the perfect balance of flavor and texture.


Dry yeast Lukewarm water Granulated sugar All-purpose flour Kosher salt Extra-virgin olive oil Unsalted butter Flake sea salt Mixed Italian herbs Heirloom tomato Garlic


Pour the lukewarm water into the bowl and add yeast and sugar. Slightly stir and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

Step 1

Add the flour and kosher salt then mix until a shaggy dough forms.

Step 2

Transfer the dough into the bowl with olive oil and turn the dough to coat. 

Step 3

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough until it's ready.

Step 4

Prepare the dough in the greased baking pan or baking sheet. Let it rise and be uncovered.

Step 5

When it's ready, lightly oil your hands and dimple focaccia all over with your fingers.

Step 6

Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle flaky sea salt and herbs. Place the tomato slices and garlic on top, then bake.

Step 7

Serving Suggestions

Focaccia bread can be eaten as it is.

Stuff it with ham, mozzarella, and more tomatoes.

Slather homemade pesto sauce.
