Beat the butter, sugar, and ricotta cheese in a mixing bowl.

Step 1

Add the eggs into the ricotta mixture one at a time and beat them.

Step 2

Stir in the vanilla extract, lemon zest, and juice in the ricotta mixture. Mix until combined.

Step 3

Sift the dry ingredients over the ricotta mixture. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the batter.

Step 4

Pour the batter into the prepared greased cake pan and spread the batter evenly.

Step 5

Bake the cake until cooked and allow the cake to cool.

Dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar and serve.
