Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken

A chicken breast filled with delicious mozzarella cheese and wrapped in Parma ham, also known as prosciutto di Parma.

Ingredients

Preheat the oven. Prepare and butterfly-cut the chicken breasts, then season on all sides with salt and pepper.

Step 1

Stuff the butterfly chicken breasts with mozzarella and basil. Then, wrap them with prosciutto slices.

Step 2

Heat the iron skillet and drizzle the olive oil. Cook the stuffed chicken and sear on both sides until the ham is golden brown.

Step 3

Transfer to the rack of the oven and bake until chicken reaches a temperature of 165°F. Then remove and let it rest. 

Step 4

Make and cook the sauce until fragrant. Add the chicken broth and wine to deglaze and cook until the sauce is reduced a bit.

Step 5

Cut the wrapped chicken and arrange it on the platter. Serve with sauce on top and garnish.
