A tender, succulent steak bathed in a buttery creamy mushroom marsala sauce!

Bring the steak to room temperature and season with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil and sear the steak in a skillet.
Transfer the skillet to the oven and continue cooking.
Heat the olive oil and butter and add the shallot. Stir in garlic, thyme and mushrooms.
Cook until browned, then sprinkle the flour and stir to coat.
Deglaze the skillet with wine and add the broth. Simmer and add heavy cream.
Simmer again until the sauce thickens, stir occasionally, and season.
Serve the steak with the sauce and garnish.
Sear the steak properly, and don't overcook.
