Flat Green Beans with Tomatoes

This healthy Italian flat green beans recipe is actually super easy, quick, and delicious. It uses fresh beans and only needs less than 10 ingredients.

 flat green beans

garlic

balsamic vinegar

shallots

Ingredients

salt & pepper

tomatoes

basil

Prepare the flat green beans and sauté the garlic and shallots in the skillet with olive oil.

Step 1

Add the beans to the skillet. Sauté and stir frequently,  then season to taste.

Step 2

Stir in the tomatoes and balsamic vinegar and cook until they are blistered and soft. 

Step 3

After removing the pan from the heat, let it cool. Then, stir in balsamic vinegar and garnish.

Step 4

Serving Suggestions

Serve atop quinoa, brown rice, farro, or other whole grains. 

You can toss it with pasta, more veggies, and a protein source.
