Ingredients

Let the tri-tip steak rest at room temperature for 30 minutes and pat it dry with paper towels.

Heat the cast iron and add the seasoned tri-tip steak.

Step 4

Sear the steak until a golden-brown crust forms. Cook to your desired doneness.

Step 5

Remove the cooked steak from the skillet and transfer to a cutting board.

Step 6

Let the cooked steak rest, then cut it into thin slices.
