Add all the ingredients in the pan except for the pecans.
Let the sugar melt and all ingredients combined.
Add the pecans to the mixture.
Toss and coat the pecans well with the mixture.
Spread the candied pecans in a parchment paper and let them cool.
Cook the sugar and water mixture until it dissolves and becomes syrupy before adding the pecans.
