Easy Small Roasted Prime Rib Recipe

Bring the meat to room temperature and pat it with a paper towel until dry.

Step 1

Mix the garlic, herbs, salt, pepper, and olive oil in a bowl to form a paste.

Step 2

Rub the paste on all sides of the prime rib. Then, add the beef broth and water to the bottom of the roasting pan.

Step 3

Roast for 15 minutes and then reduce the temperature. Continue roasting until it is 10ºF below your desired temperature. 

Step 4

Monitor the temperature using an instant-read thermometer.

Step 5

Transfer the roasted meat to a cutting board and tent it with foil for at least 30 minutes.

Step 6

Make the Au Jus Sauce and cook until it has a nice rich flavor.
