Ingredients

Combine and mix all the blackening spices in a bowl and blend evenly.

Step 1

Pat the fish dry with a paper towel and add the oil.

Step 2

Then rub or brush each side of the fish with olive oil.

Step 3

Coat the sides of each fish fillet with the combined blackened seasoning and shake off the excess spices.

Step 4

Cook the coated fillets in the skillet until the rub turns black, then add the butter to the pan.

Step 5

Flip each fish fillet and cook until through and flaky.
