Spinach And Garlic Pasta Recipe

A simple yet quick and easy meal to prepare for a weeknight.

The result is a light and flavorful pasta dish that is sure to please everyone at the table.


olive oil

parmesan cheese




pine nuts

red pepper flakes

lemon juice

lemon zest

Cook the pasta in boiling water with salt in the large pot until al dente according to package instructions.

Step 1

Make the sauce while the pasta is cooking. Cook the sauce ingredients on heated olive oil in a large skillet.

Step 2

Once the garlic is fragrant add the lemon juice. Add the spinach in batches and season to taste. Cook until spinach is soft and wilted.

Step 3

Drain the pasta and reserve a cup of pasta water. Add the cooked pasta with the spinach mixture and pour the reserved pasta water.

Step 4

Add the parmesan cheese to the mixture and continuously stir. Add the lemon zest and fresh basil then toss to coat.

Step 5

Drizzle olive oil and serve with Parmigiano cheese and garnish with fresh basil. Optional, season it with breadcrumbs or toasted pine nuts.
