“Faith Over Fear. Move Forward. That’s It.”

“Faith Over Fear. Move Forward. That’s It.”

I wrote this this phrase in January 2020. I framed it and put it in a place where I could see it every day. Little did I know then how much I needed this phrase every single day. I often play it like a broken record in moments I feel my legs get weary.

I like to go on long walks. Living on the mountainside I am often walking steep hills. As I walk up I like to look a few feet ahead of me- keeping my gaze steady on the path. I find a manageable pace I can keep for the duration of the climb.

Occasionally, I look forward at the highest point of my destination keeping a steady pace. Still moving forward. One step at a time.

Occasionally, I look back to see how far I’ve come. I don’t like looking back too often. I feel it distracts me from the end goal. I fear if I stop too long I’ll loose momentum. Then I remember, I need to celebrate every victory. Every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.

I gain experience by moving forward, motivation by looking upward, and perspective by looking behind me.
These steps resemble my process and outlook on life. I try to emulate this pattern in the LOVE AND PASSION that goes into everything I create on @mamamiamangia__.

I can’t wait for all I have to GIVE to you in 2021.
The steps are short. The path is long. The goal is always there ahead of you. One step at a time.
“Faith over Fear. Move Forward. That’s it.”
